RE: Yacht Racing

Love my ETNN and China Team by thunder tiger... Actually very few mods needed to have a great boat, less than $20! Built my last one in two evenings! If you can find another fiberglass hulled 1...

RE: thunder tiger hull

Old post.. But here goes: love my ETNZ just a few mods and then it was bullet proof... Or sail it as intended and it is fine... Mine takes 15 or more knots no problem and is beautiful.. And it is not...

RE: Thunder tiger etnz 1 meter sailboat

As to jib boom slider...... Get some 80 lb spectra and the little 3/8 in loops, looks like a tiny key ring, from a fishing supply store used for leader rigging.. Loop thru the eye in the boom then...

RE: Thunder tiger etnz 1 meter sailboat

I pitched the stock chainplates, put plywood reinforcement on the underside and then drilled a small hole for 4-40 titanium car turnbuckles threaded them in and epoxied into hull.. Won't rust, break...

RE: Thunder tiger etnz 1 meter sailboat

I don't know if they upgraded parts or what but I have zero problems with both my China Dragon and ETNZ.. I changed some hardware to stainless and beefed up the hull attach points for the shrouds and...

RE: Discus CS

As far as gliders go not all ARFs are Chinese. Some are made in Europe.. In fact some are made right next to the full size stuff.. You pay for it though... Quality wasn't the issue , don't expect...

RE: Discus CS

One would expect them to know the difference between two different brands and one without spoilers and landing gear and one with. Right? I looked at the wing and they have made some changes so this...

RE: Discus CS

The Ventus, Discus, and ASW are all the same aircraft with the same problems, they just change the sticker on the box.. SchempHirth holds the names as well as the patent on the spoilers.. So Nitro...

RE: Discus CS

I just received my Discus CS from nitro models... I had ordered the basic three channel model, no retracts, no spoilers ect.. Instead I got a repackaged Vetus with a discus label.. Now Understand I...

RE: CMPro Discus 2.6m or Multiplex Cularis Sailplane

A big factor is the cost as the Cularis (cloud) costs about twice what the discus costs. Multiplex gets way too much for their power package so make up your own and save. The foam will last thru...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

Not an iron, different thing.. Your not controlling resistance to vary watts.. Wattage of a tx is a different thing. We have the wattage out and the wattage of the input.. They never tell you if it...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

You could hook your little Tx to the worlds largest car battery, 12 Volt and it would only draw the current it needs, wouldn't burn up, only factor is if the power supply is adequate and can keep up...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

In rereading your description of your "experiment" I don't understand "adjusting the current up" you can only vary the voltage not the current.. The current is a function of the voltage supplied for...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

When you say the tx is using all the power .... What else are you hooking to it?? For a comple system using a eflite 370 and speed controller, radio ect.. I use a 2200 3 cell pack. .?? 15 minute...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

I need more specifics as to what you are hooking to what... A decent lipo should have enough power.. What else do you have hooked to it?? Thermal runaway?? Any time the voltage goes down the current...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

Thrushloader... Just keep the Tx in the breeze like a speed controller or put some vents in that take prop blast and cools the tx.. The camera is best not to be behind the prop.. Unless you are into...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

Jetjocky69 is right capacity of the battery has nothing to do with it as almost any decent lipo of 800 mah is more than enough. Just take the total current draw of the tx and camera and divide that...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

For odd voltages... Use a Castle bec and program it for the voltage you need... But best to just stay with 12 volt tx and rx and come off the plug that goes to the battery, standard Deans.. Every ESP...

RE: Anyone have problems with FPV's equipment?

Guys it seems that there is some confusion on current, volts ect... If the stuff says 12 volt then a three cell Lipo will be great. If it is 5 volt then use a RC battery eliminator set to five...
