RE: Super Skybolt ARF

My Ailerons look just like yours, but fuselage had lots of little wrinkles.[sm=48_48.gif] I noticed that the wrinkles come and go when the temperature changes. It is too time consuming to try to...

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

I attached the two 4-40 locknuts to the metal with JB weld, I've had the wing on and off about ten times and the nuts are tight and secure. I'm sure your plate works well too! I love JB Weld.

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

Thank You Insanemoondoggie, Thanks for your help with the rates and flight tips. I'll get it trimmed up on low rates and get a feel for it. This Saturday , I hope.

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

You must now take one CA hinge, drip 3 drops of thin CA on it. When the Hinge is dry, cut the hinge in half. Curse Removed! :-)

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

Mccluskey, Silver.kiwi, I accepted the built in dihedral. I didn't realize at the time, but the wing strut guide peg alignment would have been impacted with ANY sweep in the bottom wing. Fortunately...

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

Changing gears... Has any one set-up the flight control deflection by the instructions? Low rate elevator deflection looks small yet rudder deflection looks like alot, ailerons look good in low rate,...

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

Mccluskey. I checked my manual and see the 2 1/8 measurement, but the wing just does not have that degree of dihedral in it. Just now, I put a straight edge along the bottom of the wing (mounted to...

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

Mccluskey, I just checked my lower wing and although it appears to have a little dihedral in it, it is flat if you sight down the leading edge. The lower wing halves should be butted together with no...

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

Regardin the servo mounting, how flush are your wing servo panels? I sanded down the mounting blocks a little because they prevented the assembly from drpping in far enough, but my panels are not...

RE: Super Skybolt ARF

I'm beginning to assemble my Super Skybolt. I have read this entire thread. I have purchased an OS 91 (no pump).

Have any of you used the ball link control horns for the aileron set-up?
