pe reivers, this is exactly what I suspected (mismatch of crank taper and prop hub taper) thus back to suspecting the prop hub as the problem. I found it unlikely to be a crankshaft misalignment...

I think a crack in the hub is a no brainer answer. I was asking what to do about the possible runout. Is there a fix for runout? engine replacement?
