nice set-up you got there. Definitely time to add ailerons. What's the amp draw on the Himax and what size is the Lipo ?

I have my COG at 1 3/4" from the LE of the wing and she flies beautifully. What motor are you using? Maybe she nosed down because the elevators are angled down a bit or the motor is not powerful...

All you really need is some packing tape along the leading edge of the wing. It'll cover any holes like that and avoid any future ones.

Check ebay also. Sometimes they go for $130. Usually goes for $159 with an extra battery and prop.

Some people said that it worked on their SC. It melted the foam when I tried it but I sprayed it on some cheap scrap piece of foam, not on my Super Cub. It might not harm the SC if you spray a few...

I replaced the motor on my SC with a brushless Feigao and Himax gearbox so I have to balance the SC but I don't know the recommended COG.

Does anybody know what the Center of Gravity is...

When do you expect to have the new motor mount done? Please post a pic of the final result. I'm also changing over to a brushless motor but it's an inrunner with gearbox.

Nice job. I was gonna use some of that H2O paint but it shot out of the can like silly string,plus I really didn't like the available colors. Krylon Fusion has some nicer colors available.

Thanks for the info but is that total length of throw from left to right for the rudder and up and down for the elevator or is it the distance from the center of each control surface ? ...

I tried some of the Krylon Fusion paint on a scap piece of foam and it melted the foam. Did you yourself use it on the Suer cub?

I'm setting up my Super Cub after installing new electronics and a DX6. Does anybody know the required elevator and rudder deflection throws so I can set up the new servos and the DX6 settings?

What's a good brushless upgrade for the SC that will fit in the stock motor mount? I don't wanna break the bank either. I'm most likely gonna use a Spektrum DX6 with it so I might as well upgrade...
