RE: I'm BACK!

Plastic 2spd gears. Unfortunately, some of the clutch bells that came in the 2spd conversion were cast instead of threaded - I got one. I can't change the gearing without buying a whole new clutch...

RE: I'm BACK!

Thanks!

It's actually a two-speed transmission. It's the upgrade kit for the XT2. Click Here.

It never seems to shift properly so I don't really worry about it. It's got a really soft, and...

RE: I'm BACK!

I finally got a video going.

Here it is:

There's no tread on the tires and I'm still waiting for the pullstart for my Axial .32 so, it's...

RE: Continued Battery Life Problems

That still wouldn't explain why a brand new set of rechargeable AA NiMHs wouldn't work. They're charged with a different charger all together.

RE: Continued Battery Life Problems

That's what I was wondering.

Is this a known issue with Futaba FASST 2.4ghz receivers?

And yeah, the batteries are never hot. Not even after charging.

I was also thinking that if it...

RE: Continued Battery Life Problems

@Busch

I did try that, actually. I put it on .1a and charged that 1000MAH pack overnight and it didn't help. I got maybe 2 more minutes out of it and then it quit.

Is there any other way to...

RE: Continued Battery Life Problems

For whatever it's worth, they're Cirrus high-torque servos. They aren't really high-end but good enough.

Continued Battery Life Problems

Alright, well for starters, I've been having some serious issues with the battery life of the receiver pack(s) in my XTM XT2.

I'm not exactly sure why but I cannot seem to get more than about 10...

RE: I'm BACK!

Thanks Snoking.

Yeah, I finally got it figured out though. I'm gonna order me a new pullstart (only 14 bucks, not bad) and once it stops RAINING I'm gonna get a vid going.

RE: I'm BACK!

@Chaser

Because I would have had to purchase items I didn't have already. I did this with what I had on hand. It cost me nothing.

Plus, the gearing on the XT2 is more suitable for a truggy...

RE: Not getting full power to the wheels

First, start by inspecting the two-speed gears. Not the little ones, but the big (plastic? or are they metal on the MGT?) ones. You should be able to see if they're worn down to nubs. If the gears...

RE: Will This Work?

What if I removed one of the cells and re-soldered the connections? It'd be okay then, right?

Keep in mind several people have told me that people are starting to use 6-cell packs for their...

Oh yeah by the way, those are 2/3A size cells. Not sub-C.

Will This Work?

This is just a quick question.

I have a Futaba FASST 2.4GHz system in my XTM XT2. I was wondering if I can use this battery pack to run the radio/servos:

RE: Battery Not Working Right?

Well, I think I might've confused you guys.

"smoking good" meaning it worked really really well and the servos were snappy and responsive. Then after 5 or so minutes of usage they were sluggish...

RE: Battery Not Working Right?

The rate at which I charged the 1200mah pack that started smoking was 1.2a

No, my charger does not have a discharge function.

Is it possible something's wrong with the radio itself or the...

Battery Not Working Right?

Alright, so I've got my XLB/XT2 truggy combo and the radio is a Futaba FASST 2.4Ghz system.

The battery pack I'm using to power the system is a 6v, 5-cell, 1000mAh, NiMH, 'standard' receiver...

RE: 5-Cell NiMH & Piranha Charger Q

I actually found the receipt for the purchase in my toolbox. Thankfully.

It's a 1000mAh 6v, 5-cell NiMH, 2/3A battery pack. It's the standard 'hump pack' size.

You mean this one, right?

That's the one I have.

Sorry, should have specified.

RE: X-Cellerator Kit?

That's what I was talking about I think.

I want a car without a radio or motor. I've got plenty of extra servos and I'd like to use my .18 CV-RX.

Any idea where I can find one?

RE: Axial .32 Help

Well I managed to find the replacement pullstart assembly and it's only 14 dollars so I'll just get a whole new one. Thanks for your help!

RE: X-Cellerator Kit?

I appreciate the offer but no thank you. I'm not a fan of AE.

Anyway, yeah it's beat up, but it's after 4 gallons of HARD bashing, wrecks, and everything else. The only reason the differential...
