The HOB PT19 is a great slow flyer and might be easier to get in and out of a small field.

I love HOB kits. They have excellent wood and pre-cut parts. I have the P-51, but haven't started it yet. I've built the 2X2 glider, PT-19, Stick .10, and Float Plane .10. All great kits.
