These static thrust calculators seem to be giving confusing results..have you measured the static thrust of an APC 20x8 prop on a fish scale? Just to have a real world comparison..

We will all be looking forward to see a Laser radial..:D..In the meantime we are happy to have Laser twins such as a 240v and a 300v (the second one the sooner the better.. ;))

The RPM further increases as the tank empties. At 1/4 tank the engine goes to peak when holding the model nose up.

Yup that's exact..I think you are correct with the nature of the Saito carb. I did set the HS needle about 350 rpm below the peak at full tank..

My FA-125a Saito runs 8350 at 1/2 tank and 8200 at full tank, the same day & same fuel? This is on the ground and the tank centerline is at the same level with the carb. I wonder if this phenomenon...

Yup I was thinking of just running the engine on the ground without the clines, just to see if this makes many change. As you say it won't work correctly in the air due to the tank...
