Absolutely correct! All corrections are made with the rudder during takeoff, unless there is a crosswind.

Nylon wing bolts can't shear on the NexStar, due to flex mount. The only way to save that damage from happening again is to trim off about 1/8 inch from the nylon post that goes into the forward...

If you want to use a trainer cord (buddy box) you are out luck with the Mini NexStar RTF. You will have to change radios and receiver. However. all the extra's that come with RTF, is a better deal...

Carefull tuning and good fuel will prolong an engine's life. Have six OS AX .46's purchased 4 years ago that all had new cylinders and pistons...

Your trainer needs tp be in Normal Training Mode and programed the same as the master. Plug in, turn off the training box and you should be good to go.

Take the prop off, then remove the prop hub and see if there is a washer behind the hub. If not, that would explain the increased "friction". By the way, it's called a thrust washer.

Just a suggestion, since you have a "beefy landing gear" you might ensure that the mounting is beefy as well. It's easier to reinforce before the damage, than after. :D
