I would go with it, paleodust. Its a great airplane. You can keep yours lighter than mine by Use only one servo, maybe two on the wings. I have three across with operable flaps

Yeah, keeping the axles out in front of the LE helps. Maybe my wire gear were fatiguing, but it seemed like I was ALWAYS bending them back into the correct angle . I got tired of screwing with it.
