RE: Mini Buyers Guide

Just make sure to get a charger that will suit your needs now and down the road. If you are going to want to charge nimh packs and lipo packs, get a charger that can do both. If you are going to...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

You might be able to find a body like that on ebay for a vendetta and just get bigger tires. OR you could make a german friend.:D

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

I would have to say the rage is better then the rc18t. Not only is it cheaper, but it doesn't need new drivetrain parts or any upgrades out of the box. It is a very durable car. I think the...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

The apogee uses a lipo charger. With the chemistry you can charge it twice as fast though. A lipo is limited to 1c and an apogee is 2c. I charged my apogee at 1.8c.

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

The speed difference would all depend on the motor. A high quality motor like a Neu (best you can get) would own on every voltage. A properly setup 2s system will have pretty much the same...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

I personally think lipo safety isn't a big issue. As long as you are careful when charging them you probably won't have a problem. The Apogee packs have a slightly different chemistry then lipo and...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

You will have to measure to make sure it will fit. The Apogee 1300 and 1500mah cells and the Flightpower 1600mah cells are what I have and what should fit.

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

The best lipos will probably be Flightpower first and then Apogee second. There could be a lot of argument, but the quality of cells really shows when you have a Neu motor and need a 1/10th esc. ...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

The plastic gears on the rage are so strong because the company uses a really though plastic on all their parts and I'm sure the diff gears are spaced correctly. I know for sure that the vendetta and...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

They are both good vehicles. I would personally get the Xray. If you plan on racing I would get the Xray. IMO it is a better car all around. The mlst2 may have diff problems if you go brushless,...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

I decided to add a troubleshooting section. I'll put what I can think of right off the top of my head then you guys can tell me what I missed.

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

Man, you're lucky your lhs carries xray...

If I were you I would ask your lhs if they can order them and get them in within 3-days. If they can't do that, I would go for the xray. The losi has...

Gex, I see your point. I will rephrase some of it. I.E>-Vendetta - "Great for racing w/ standard servo" to "Great potential for racing with standard servo". I'll try to get some links up there. ...

RE: Mini Buyers Guide

I can see your point. I guess I can say I am highly biased against mamba sized motors. But with the Neu motors, they have giant torque AND huge top end. In that vid the vendetta must have been...

Neu motors are probably the best thing you could get. The only rivals I can think of are Plettenberg, Lehner, and maybe Kotronik. (I'm sure I spelled those wrong. Here is a video of a Neu in a...

Mini Buyers Guide

I think there are too many posts by noobs that say: "What will break first on my Mini T?" or How do I make my RC18T faster?"
