yes i think that you would need to take the masthead crane off and build a longer one, and as long as you built the sail so that it flags the top upwind and sets downwind i think ud be fine.:D[8D]

Nice! :D Has anyone thought about adding say 300mm to the top of a northwinds mast then using a really big mast crane top put on a lot more sail area? i reckon they would fly like that!

yeah i think that the jib is just a bit full catsailor, soive made a fully battended masthead one.

I think that on an easyly driven hull like the northwinds, a masthead kite off a say 22cm carbon 6mm tube would probably give it monster performance if you kept both the winches low in the hull. It...

Yeah i know it would go a lot faster but the risk of reking the boat is pretty high... dunno ill think about it...
