RE: Super Brain 960 Question

Okay, cool, that's what I figured but thought I better ask before I DO cook the batteries. I have a large collection of wall adapters that I knew I kept for a reason!

RE: Super Brain 960 Question

I also noticed if I get them charged, then push the charge button again for a second time, it seems to boost the voltage by a fair amount and has brought some life back to the packs. the 15hr charge...

RE: Super Brain 960 Question

So can you recommend a charger that will do those type of charges, just not sure what I'm looking for.

RE: Super Brain 960 Question

Ya I think they do shut off sometimes. What kind of charge times should I be seeing with this charger, 7 cell 3800mah packs that are more or less fully discharged? I know it takes 55 min or so right...

RE: Super Brain 960 Question

So after a battery has charged and it's still sitting in the charger does it show a "trickle" charge state when you push Display? Seems like I've clicked the Display button during charging and it...

Super Brain 960 Question

Okay, my Stampedes have been in storage for a few months packed away for a delayed move. And I don't think I've actually run my trucks for 4 months! I needed a refresher on charging and came back to...

RE: Just purchased an E-savage.

Oh man...I want one!!!

What is the size of the truck compared to a Stampede? I've still not seen one in person, but a guy at my LHS said it was smaller than the Emaxx?

RE: What mods can be done to make a Rustler go faster

Having just gone from an older XL1 Pede to a new XL5, I have to say, that alone is a heck of an upgrade with the right batteries. I went through the same thing and upgrading an old truck was just not...

RE: Rustler ?

We have 3 stampedes on our block. With the Radio Shack 7.2v 3300mah batteries we all get between 10-15 minutes of run time on the street/grass just bashing.

Not sure if the Rustler will be the...

RE: Tough choice, what to get?

I've owned the older XL1 Pede and bought a new XL5 the other day. They are really fun, durable and easy to work on if you need to. My old one was bullet proof, in 1.5 years I put a new spur gear in...

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

Thanks. I ordered some Deans Plugs to do my Stampede. So the consensus IS to do something with the stock motor wiring & plugs? Doesn't look like the best connection for power delivery.

RE: Dean's plugs? Best batteries?

How about the stock connections for the motor...those pull apart connectors with the clear tubing over them? Should those be Deans as well? Or even staight wired?

RE: What replacement part do I need? (Rustler XL-5)

I was curious about the shock caps too? So the shock CAPS are enough to keep them from blowing off?? Me and my buddy have both blown shock caps off within days of getting our Pede trucks. I never did...

RE: Super Brain 960...Noise while charging?

Ya, I think at the very least I need to get a fan to blow on it. It does get hot, but I haven't had it shut off yet. I just seems really inconsistent in charge times and results though. I didn't...

RE: Super Brain 960...Noise while charging?

Thanks.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I am just not getting the run time from my batteries that my neighbor is. I picked up another Radio Shack battery today as we were going to do some...

RE: Super Brain 960...Noise while charging?

Very cool! I ordered some 3800mah 8.4v Tenergy packs off ebay (all-battery.com)

So, it looks like the threshold setting at 30 should be okay? I read somewhere about bumping it up to get more...

RE: Tenergy packs

I would like a suggestion on batteries for my new Stampede XL5. I had an older Stampede XL1 and am running the 7.2v 3300 NiMh's from Radio Shack. My neighbor has the same truck now and same...

RE: Super Brain 960...Noise while charging?

SS Pede....thanks for the info!

You answered my next question as to setting the peak threshold. So I take it going lower that 30 for a 6 cell means it's trying to get a little more power storage...

Super Brain 960...Noise while charging?

Just got another Stampede the other day and picked up a Super Brain 960. It's making a real high pitched noise when charging. It goes from nothing then seems to get louder the closer it gets to 100%...

I have had a Stampede for a few years now, XL1. We have beat the crap out of the thing and it just keeps going, great toy! Well, it's finally starting to show it's age, parts are breaking, motor not...
