RE: Recommended trainer, Hobbico?

I would recommend the park version for a beginner. The larger plane is more stable and handles the wind better than a micro. It is also more visable due to its larer size. These are things that are...

RE: OS Max 60 FP Not Running

Sounds like you should fly the second engine and use the first engine for parts.

RE: OS Max 60 FP Not Running

I've bought some very nice engines on Ebay over the years. I did get cheated on one though. The guy showed photos of a complete engine and claimed it ran like new. When the engine showed up the carb...

RE: Buried it and broke my needles valve

On my Hell on Rails I used the OS remote needle valve kit and mounted the needle valve on the fuselage rail behind the engine.

RE: Recommended trainer, Hobbico?

I think Leo L hit the nail right on the head. Either of those planes are excellent choices. I would also suggest that you make sure that you get the newer brushless motor version. There are still...

RE: OS Max 60 FP Not Running

I believe that the FP engine has an o-ring between the carb and engine case. If the o-ring is cracked or broken it will suck air under the carb and run too lean even with a rich carb setting. That...

RE: Help trying to get back into RC planes - Parkzone any good?

The Parkzone T28 is not a trainer, but it is not a high skill level plane and is much easier to fly than the Mustang. If you have previous experience flying, it might be something that you could...

RE: Gee Bee Racer

This is the look that Nate is going for. He is getting custom graphics made for the dice and other trim. I don't know what he is going to do about pinstripes. The Pitts style muffler just showed up...

RE: Gee Bee Racer

The cowl is being painted this weekend. Nate is still waiting for the Pitts style muffler on order from Bisson. He mounted the engine on his Dazzler and is using that plane to break in the engine. He...

Gee Bee Racer

I thought some of you would like to see a couple picures of the Gee Bee Racer that my friend is scratch building. It is patterned from plans from a u-line kit from the 1960's and updated for RC. It...

RE: Let's start a GWS line.

I just bought a Slow Stick last week. I'm going to set it up with a brushless motor. I also have a Pico J3 Cub and two Pico Tigermoths. Its a shame that GWS isn't going to be in business any longer....

RE: Tx and Rx compatability for a newbie

That is the great thing about it. As more people make the switch to 2.4 the less likely anyone on 72mhz. will have any interference. I can't wait for the day that everyone else in my club has changed...

RE: Goldberg Tiger 2: Who knew?

A couple years ago my Son In Law gave me a kit built Tiger 2. It has some moderate damage to the right wing tip, but other than that its in perfect condition. After reading all of the good things...

RE: Tx and Rx compatability for a newbie

I haven't bought into the 2.4 Gig stuff yet. I have too much 72 mhz. stuff to convert everything over. The 72 mhz. receivers are getting really inexpensive. I can buy micro receivers for three planes...

RE: How many engines you ruined?

The first year I started flying, I was hooked on the hobby so bad I would try to fly in almost any weather. One day in the middle of the winter the temperature was at least 5 below zero. I tried to...

RE: Building the House of Balsa A7 Corsair Propjet

What a coincidence. I've had one of these hanging in my hobby room for quite some time. I just got it down Saturday. I bought an OS 32 to put on it, but now I'm thinking about setting it up for...
