I guess you could make a bracket for batt to sit on over top coupler, or put it just behind the motor width wise. You would need to test out both to find best setup.

if it draws 30-35 amps, call it 40, work backwards.

If your running any voltage lipo @15c then you need a pack larger than 2700mah
If the pack is 20c then you need a mah rating larger than...

Ithurst uhhh... are you sure your calculating your lipo's correctly?

15c is 15X the mah rating... so if your lipo is 4800mah then it's 15*4.8=72 amps draw.

What is the motor rated for? ...

Need more info, how big is boat, how big is batterys?? 3300mah? Lipo you are looking to go for?

More than likely dropping less than a volt to lipo wouldn't make much of a difference in speed as...
