So it's a built up scale or scale style model? I can't imagine a shape other than such a style that would use eight stringers.

In any event I think your best option is to get 36 inch stock in...

You'd have to cut your own to get 60 inch stock.  The other way is to scarff join two lengths of 36 inch stock to get the proper length. 

I'm curious though, what does it use 8 sticks of 1/8...
