Hi Buck,

I would like to point out I used a typical sailplane setup with 5 fight modes, Launch, Land, Cruise, Speed and Thermal. The Cruise, Speed and Thermal modes determine the wing camber...

8 Frame Losses and 1 Hold

After one of my flights my Flight Log showed 8 Frame Losses and 1 Hold. I thought that 45 consecutive Frame Losses were needed to get a Hold. Has anyone seen this before?

RE: Re-binding can help and using a Flight Log

OK, I think that my poor flight log readings with my sailplane were probably caused by poor antenna orientation. When I am flying an aerobatic plane, I am flying mostly in a box in front of me, but...

Re-binding can help and using a Flight Log

I have seen this before. When I bind in the workshop everything is working, but I get poor Flight Log numbers. When I re-bind at the field the Flight Log numbers are much improved.

On my...

RE: Flaperon travel on a sailplane

I am not sure about flaperons, but when setting up flaps on the spoiler stick, you must set the subtrim (e.g., to about 200) and position the servo control arm appropriately in order to get full...

RE: RADIAN

I found the easiest way to insert the wing mounting screws is to put my hand underneath on the plastic tab on the top of the wing, then direct the screw by feel to the center of the plastic tab where...

RE: RADIAN

Hi Zor,

When you reinforce the rear end, check the balance because of the added weight.

I left my Radian Pro mostly stock. I added a light carbon strip reinforcement along the center of...

RE: RADIAN

Make sure the connectors are actually seating all the way. With mine, on the Y-cables, the pins in the female connectors were offset in one direction. I had to bend them a little so that they were...

RE: BEST RC Flight Sim??

It depends on what your goals are. For realistic fixed wing flight physics for advanced aerobatics and 3D, I think the FS One v2 is the choice, and I don't think it requires as much computer power...

RE: HS 225 Mini mighty metal gear servos

This is why I build my own extensions, because I cannot trust the factory extensions 100%. I once found a bad Hitec extension before I actually put it into service. I plugged it in and nothing...

RE: JR 9503 issues

If you are running two aileron servos from a Y harness, the you need programmable servos like Hitec's so they can be syncronized using a programmer. If you don't have programmable servos, then you...

RE: Best sim for giant scale war birds

FS One v2 is noted for its excellent flight physics. It is only a matter of if it has scale models that fit what you want to practice with. Any of the models can be scaled to any appropriate size. ...

RE: FS One Version 2

If highly realistic flight physics is important to you, then just be glad that FS One is being supported and new 3D content is coming, if even slowly. The ability to scale all of the FS One aircraft...

RE: JR 9503 $75 to upgrade

That is good to know. I imagine downloadable upgrades will be a standard feature of all new radios. Well, at least my X9503 has the same gimbals, and they do have a great feel to them. Another...

RE: JR 9503 $75 to upgrade

If it is not broke, don't fix it.

My X9503 is rock solid. I went through three Transmitters before I got a good one. I typically get about 10 fades on each antenna after a 10 minute flight. ...

RE: buying new sim, maybe

I have seen comments that Phoenix sucks for planes, but the heli guys love it. I have had AFPD and Aerofly 5, but have gone back to FS One since they released a new vesion improved for 3D. If...

RE: Help Servo Lead length

Hi Moggy,

No, do not modify the servo leads. The wire on your servos leads should be appropriate for the current that the servos will draw. You will still benefit from using HD extensions,...
