RE: Airfoilz or Copperhead Stiffy?

I don't expext an airplane to be indestructable, but the crash that broke my plane's fuse was a low-speed, power-off cartwheel from about 4' of altitude. The spar in the fuse split length-wise so I...

RE: Airfoilz or Copperhead Stiffy?

I've had first generation Stiffy's and an Airfoilz Edge. The first stiffy I had built up light and was VERY durable, absorbing all the punishment my flying skills could dish out for a couple hundred...

RE: mvvs 1.6

If you want to try the "penny-tech" repair, you could fill the crack with JB weld and install a new o-ring. I've had customers do that after thier engine has a dirt-nap!

RE: Headers for MVVS 58 and 45

Why not tilt the engine down a little. Your stock header will line up properly then. That's what I have done, works great!

RE: mvvs 1.6 gas starting

Richen up your low end a tiny bit and see if that changes your engines starting behaviour. If that does not help, swap out your spark-plug, also you clean the screen in the carb and check that you...

RE: Headers for MVVS 58 and 45

I used a KS can on on of my airplanes. I used the MVVS header but I removed the flange and tried to join the header and cannister with a high-temp silicone hose and some clamps. It never held...

RE: MVVS .91, running with no exhaust

I agree 100% with Pe. Configure the engine for rear exhaust and use the longer of the two MVVS pipes available for the engine, let me know if you need a header and pipe, I've got both in stock.

RE: fuel color

Over time petrol will change. Heavier elements will adhere to thier surrounding container, or worse, components of the fuel system in your engines, these deposits are known as varnish. At the same...

RE: fuel color

Not to disagree, but I have had gas go "stale" after 3 weeks in storage! When I fill my fuel jug, I add a cap full of fuel stabilizer every time. Also, I run all of my garden equipment (leaf...

RE: mvvs 1.6 inverted?

Hmmmm...120cm would make for a looooooong exhaust! Try to keep the header length as close as possible to the stock lenght. You can cut and weld the header material fairly easily to re-configure it...

RE: mvvs 1.6 inverted?

You would only experience a hydraulic lock in the case of very severe flooding. Extremley rare, but I have had a customer destroy a con-rod bearing when he tried to clear a badly flooded engine with...

RE: mvvs 1.6 inverted?

They run just fine inverted, but if you ca mount them with the head at about 7:30, you will reduce the chance of ever having a hydraulic lock, or fuel fouling the plug. If your airframe demands an...

RE: Airplane for Hacker A20-20L and 1500ma packs
