Goldberg Tiger 120 Availability?

As I often seem to do, I waited too long on this one.

Does anyone know of a dealer that still has the Tiger 120 ARF still in stock? They show it to be discontinued on the Goldberg and Tower...

RE: Tightening props on cheap plasic spinners

I've seen enough time wasted at the field with plastic spinners that I don't use them at all. On sport planes that don't need a spinner for looks, an aluminum spinner nut puts an end to the problem ...

RE: Kit question for a beginner

The Sig LT-25 is definitely worth looking into before you decide for sure. It's the size of most 40 size trainers, but it flies very well on a .25. It sure doesn't need to be overpowered. The...

Let us know how you like the Tiger 120. There hasn't been much posted here about them.

RE: Which engine for a Sig Four Star 60 kit

I've flown 4 Star 60s with lots of different engines. Any of the engines discussed would do great. The one point that is seldom brought up is cleaning at the end of the day. The OS 91 FS doesn't...

RE: Cri Cri Worlds smallest twin

Tom,

I recently saw a video of a guy doing aerobatics in a Cri Cri. It was surprising what it would do. It didn't look to be much larger than your model.

RE: Dual receiver battery q's

I would be interested in knowing if there are any potential single failure points in the switch that could shut down both battery circuits.

Rat1

I usually don't post in the AMA thread, but here goes...

Take that $30.00 down to your local insurance company and see if you can buy a 2.5 million dollar liability policy. While...

Tettra Fuel Tank Dimensions

Does anyone have a link to a website that gives the physical dimensions of the Tettra brand of glow fuel tanks?

I have found the capacities on the Central Hobbies site, but no sizes are given.

RE: Saito 56 with Cline regulator

Ed,

Originally I was only concerned about the muffler pressure. After I posted I thought about the carb vacuum. From the replies here though it does look like it's worth a try, so I think I...

Saito 56 with Cline regulator

I have a Saito 56 that I need to mount inverted below the tank centerline. I've seen a Cline regulator used for this before but only on larger engines. Does the 56 have strong enough exhaust pulses...

RE: YS 110 needs a home

Ken,

I have the Venus 2 with a YS-110. It's about a perfect match. I've been using an APC 14-10 and it works well.

RE: Got a YS 110 Now which kit?

Ken,

You might check with AeroWorks. They are showing a similar plane, the Zafiro 3D, on their website. They aren't showing the Epsilon. They may can tell you something though about...

RE: I need help picking my second plane

Keith,

Take a look at the thread "Sig Four-Star 60". It's hard to beat for a second plane. The Goldberg Tiger 60 might be worth looking at as well.

RE: Death spin

Some planes, including full size, will not recover at all if you use opposite aileron. The lowered aileron on the inboard side of the spin adds drag, and makes it impossible for the rotation to...

Source for carbon fiber gear?

Who sells good quality carbon landing gear for pattern planes?
Bolly shows them on their website, but I don't know who stocks them. Who else makes them?

4 Star 120 with YS-110

RE: Plane info

Scott,

The Venus kit has a belly pan that is intended to be glued to the bottom of the wing. If you wanted to use a pipe you would have to rebuild it with a shallow channel, or strengthen it in...

Scott,

I have a Venus II with a YS-110. It's a good plane for the investment. If he is only going to fly Sportsman it would probably be ok with a little less power. The assembly is...

I'm just getting started on my Venus 2.

I have the wing halves joined; nothing special to say there. I had to sand the joiner just a tad to get a good fit, but after that it went together...
