The DLL file I have a link to above is what is needed for some installations of XP, Vista and Win7. It needs to be copied into the /windows/system32 folder.
BTW it fixes lots of other Directx...

Get the kids FMS (free) and use any controller or joystick you want.

Download it here: FMS w/500 aircraft
