RE: Why not a Citabria or Decathlon?

To reply to the original question, I believe change breeds popularity. Introduce something unique and it will have a following. Popular designs will be then marketed by everyone. Can you ever...

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

Sessholvlaru, that's a shame about the dead-stick and a real pisser about the mechanical retract servo not having enough umph. Wonder if that servo would work on 6 volts? I have some 3-1/4" thin foam...

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF

There's finally a due date on Tower's website for late September and $650. That'll probably end up being closer to Christmas, I bet.

I'll have mine on backorder (either way) soon.

They've...

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

Finally got started on mine about a month ago and thought I'd share some info and ask a couple of questions. I'm about ready to start applying the decals and see where there's some striping for the...

Top Flite B-25 ARF

What ever happened to this ARF? The last I heard it was due for release by the end of 2006.

What's up?

9 CAP w/ throttle cut mix to open canopy

Hi again.

I'm using a 9 CAP and a 9 ch PCM Rx in a project where I'd like to have the canopy open when I activate the throttle cut. Then of course when the throttle cut is turned off the mix...

9 CAP and flaps using the VR(E)

Hi. I've got a 9 CAP and am using a 8 channel PPM Rx.

I have a project using twin aileron servos (on ch 1 and 6) and would like to have them operate as flaps using the VR(E).

I've got the...

Tripower, It sure feels good to have this thread going again. [sm=thumbup.gif]

That is a great looking wing with those gear. Good job.

I contacted Bob Holman, and he will sell just the...

RE: ThunderTiger Rare Bear

Brandon, I'll jump in here to offer some peace of mind.

It is perfectly acceptable to balance a low wing airplane upside down. It's called pendulum effect. It's much easier to balance an item...

RE: Balsa USA Fokker DVIII

If I speculate here... First would have been the: DI, then the DII, and so on. Then eventually there was the DV "series" starting with the DV, then the DVI (whom most call the D-6), and so on.

I...

RE: Balsa USA Fokker DVIII

Jason, I built one of these a couple of years ago and am currently doing another. If you have built several other kits already, this one will go together like any other with just the "complexity" of...

RE: Throttle-Cut on a twin

Bax, I'm not trying to beat a dead horse to death but...

I have the mix as:

Master - OFST
Slave - throttle
Link - on

My question boils down to: What tells the transmitter that OFST...

RE: Smoke System

Slimline sells a check valve as part of the pieces needed for their recommended set-up. I've bought 'em from them directly.

RE: Split Flaps for Bearcat

Why do you want to build split flaps on a Bearcat? An AT-6 uses split flaps. The F8F used forward hinged flaps.

Just wondering

RE: Great Planes 1/3 Pitts Firewall Failure

Skylark, I don't want to get into a pissin* match over which size engine for this plane but... a 50cc gasser is not on the list for recommended engines from GP. The 41cc gas is the max listed.

RE: Throttle-Cut on a twin

Bax. Thanks for the help with this mix. This mix inparticular created a few questions (that I hope I can ask here) that may help me understand my radio better.

1- How does the tx know that I'm...

Throttle-Cut on a twin

I've used question #23 from the Futaba FAQ page on a new twin. When I activated the throttle-cut, only channel 3 responds.

How do I get channel 7 to operate too?

I guess I should add that...

RE: Dynaflight Super Decathlon/Zenoah G-38 question

Ken, While mine's not a G38, I had the same situation on my throttle for my Decathlon. I made a bracket from a piece of 1/16" aluminum angle and attached a bellcrank with a pushrod. The bracket (in...

RE: ASM Pitts ARF

Wow Rev, That looks pretty sweet.

I was the 1st in my club to get one of the Great Planes Pitts ARF's. Now that there's 4 of 'em, it may be time for a change!

Keep us posted on the build....
