RE: NEW!!! Official Traxxas XO-1 1/7 onroad....

I want one. Even though I am pretty sure I can do the same speed with my GTP2E right now. Traxxas marketing is great.

RE: Novak Ballistic 40 minutes only!?

110C = 230F most brushless motors will melt the epoxy around the stator windings at that temp. This shorts the stator wires causing damage to the motor and could damage the speed control. Try to keep...

RE: on-road ESC for light racing

Just make sure you're not trying to run the same speed control and gearing set up you were running on the D3 in boosted. I haven't had a problem since I switched to the Revtech from the D3.

RE: on-road ESC for light racing

If you let the magical blue smoke out, then it is time for another speed control. Need to keep the smoke in them for them to work, once it comes out, they are done.

RE: on-road ESC for light racing

I know it sounds stupid doesn't it?:D But that is what a lot of tracks call nontiming/nonboosted/nonramping classes unfortunately.;)

RE: Carpet and On road racing

If you decide to go the pan car route, CRC is in my opinion the best out there. Well besides CFEX, but they are not complete kits and take a lot of extra pieces to complete. If you go touring car, go...

RE: on-road ESC for light racing

In the blinky classes (nonboosted) I recommend the Tekin RS ESC. The Pro version is only needed for mod. It is fairly inexpensive and if you ever go to a race that you would be able to run boosted,...

RE: TC6 drive system help?

Tekin RS is the best speed control period, especially if you are going to race. You also get excellent customer support and free updates from Tekin. Novak GTBs are very old and do not offer dynamic...

RE: TC Motor Gearing???

Do you know the final drive ratio? You will need this to figure out the pinion you want. With a 13.5 motor and no timing boost from the esc you will probably find a 5.5 gear ratio will work out fine...

RE: TC5 balancing

Another option is the Exotech chassis for the TC5 I am running one now with pretty good results. It also holds the lipo better. http://www41.instantestore.net/merchant10762/pd-tc5x-lipo-chassis.cfm

RE: Help: Identify/price this car

It is an Associated RC10L2 not an RC12 you can tell by the amount of cell spaces cut out. A 12th scale would never fit 6 cells side by side especially on one side like that.

And the camera goes KABOOM! Nice video man, and great sound from the truck man. I hope to have a new Zenoah in mine in a month or so and can put up a good video of it at the track. Your truck looks...

RE: TC5 tread!!!!!!!

As for brushless combos go, in my opinion, I prefer sensored for smoother starts. Nothing wrong with the Mamba system though, but if you ever plan on racing dump it and go for some competition level...
