It is a shame that the Chinese copy them, but they copy everything.:eek: The plus thing is that they substitute better materials for the liner.:D I just wish they would copy the 49-PI Type II...

It is spelled with an a "Nikasil®" and Porsche® holds the trademark on the term.

I have never been the type of person who buys the cheepest thing's to get buy. I buy what is practical and worthy of the price. If I felt that OS had offerings worthy of there cost I would own...

Yes, it is hard chrome that is used in an ABC engine. The Electroless nickel plating which OS uses is an auto-catalytic reaction used to deposit the coating. It still comes back to Cost...

It is not the same syndrome at all. Why buy the over priced ABL engine, when I can get a True ABC engine, that will run just as well, and provide just as much service if not more. I also have money...

In the real world there prices are out of this world, considering that they have been cheepened the material too along the way, not just the modern machinning that all of the other companies also use...
