I'm not 100% sure because I don't have a schematic of the ESC, but it looks like you are disarming the ESC by switching off the BEC power because of the way you are wired. Normally the front end of...

I started flying my first Contra V3 with a Neu motor in December of 2012. I'm currently still flying it and it has 413 total flights and is still going strong. I started flying the second in October...

What do we know about the Jeti Phasor Aero motor Bruckmann was using with his Contra? I assume he uses the V4.

All good info Brian. That holding the middle spinner is the hard part. I ended up putting a large washer on the brass puller and using a large wheel puller to pull the whole thing forward. it took...

Thanks Dave. Great work and great data. Your setup definitely has power to spare as far as P-15 goes. You are using a very small part of the throttle range but you seem to hit the same spot (on...

I wouldn't call that a good compromise. It is really an extreme. You have the longer props with higher pitch (a large load) and a lower gear ratio which is what we'd call high gear in a car. No...

I think you nailed it Stuart. The new designs including the Axiome + are less stable in yaw and the Contra would make it worse. What we really need is a plane designed for the Contra. I'm inclined...

RE: Contra Rotating Propeller Drive for f3a 2m Pattern Planes

I hope your model needs a little refinement. If our cg's are anywhere near the wing tube (like most) we have negative yaw stability. What do you think?

RE: Contra Rotating Propeller Drive for f3a 2m Pattern Planes

Bryan, seems to me we need a Contra pusher with the props behind the cg. Have you got one of those on the board?

I do believe Dean is on the right track.
