RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Guapo,

I did exactly that. What you get is a big box with a bunch of parts in bags. True, it is everything you need, but I did some separate pricing, and you can do the same thing cheaper just...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Cowboy,

I keep my cub with me in the car all the time. If you take the wing off, it doesn't take much room. Look through the posts for the wire strut mount that allows quick wing removal. I've...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

11Hotel,

I've done the wing work, but not the electronics yet. I've got it flying. The new wing is heavier, so all is slower overall.

I need to get the brushless/lipo setup in and set...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Have you ever had one of those moments when you just waid "Wow, that would work!!"?? I was just throwing the cub into the car for a quick flight before meeting friends for lunch. As I was moving...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

I love my T-28, but will not fly it any more with the stock junker radio. I've had two "major" crashes that have had me replacing parts instead of just fixing them with tape and glue. The first was...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

499DR,

Get the girlfriend going on the Cub while you fly the FW190. It doesn't get any better than that. I got my daughter the cub so she would have something to keep her attention while I fly...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Dax,
You are something else!! That stick morphodite thing is great! I can't wait to hear how it flies. You've probably already made a model of it for your simulator, too.

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

I just checked Diversion. You need to log in to get the "good" price. We've been warned not to discuss pricing on this forum as Hobbyzone has had some problems with other retailers being way below...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

You can paint your FMS models. I've done it to several of mine. Go into the root files of FMS. Open the models tab. Find the .bmp associated with the model you want to paint and have at it in any...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Hey Mom,
I agree with Dax. My 9 year old daughter and I each got Airhogs and had (have) a blast with them. Quite literally a backyard flyer! That turned into an Aerobird Swift for me. Way too...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Good Morning All,
I unpacked my new Cub last night, and found a couple of things I was disappointed with. I bought if from Diversion Hobbies, and it seems that maybe it was a return to them. ...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

My pleasure.

In fact, while this was going on, I just put a Dean's on my new Swift battery and ran it down on the plane. I've been meaning to do this for a couple of days. Thanks for the boost...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

DAX,
It doesn't take very long at all once you get going to put on the Dean's connectors. It's well worth it in my opinion. I bet you can have everything changed over in just an hour or so. My...

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

No. I just got the basic bird. $125.00 including shipping. I guess I didn't dig around too much on the website to find that deal.

RE: Official Hobby Zone "Super Cub" Thread

Does anyone still have the link to the $101.00 Hobbyzone Cub? I remember seeing it this past weekend, but can't seem to find it again. Thanks in advance.
