Regarding the cooling, on my Nosen, I cut out the area back where the radiator door would be in the belly. On a full scale Mustang with the door closed, there is an opening that looks like a tunnel....

You could also check out your local hardware store. The local hardware store in my area also carries Tygon in several diameters.

A friend of mine has one with the DLE111. The engine fits totally within the cowl, nothing sticking out. Smooth, quiet and plenty of power.

I have the same Spitfire with a DLE 30. It fits within the cowl with a wraparound pitts type muffler and flys great. Lands like a big trainer.

Update: It turns out the engine is a Sachs and not a Brison as I originally thought. The con rod is copper colored also. Antique is correct in that is was built to race, according to the guy I got...

The 2 pics show the same Tillotson carb. One shows the manifold and the top of the carb, the other shows the bottom of the carb looking thru the left side of the plane. Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the reply. That will be the plan. Any idea why someone would convert it to glow? I am assuming it was run on glow fuel.
