RE: .........

Joey, are you sure the difference in performance between you and the other guy is really due to the batteries? Maybe he's got his set up with higher head speed. If you're getting 9-10 mins. from an...

RE: .........

I think the Belt motor is 3800kv.MostTREX style 450's use a 3500-3600kv motor soI think the -10V2 will be less versatile if you ever upgrade from the Belt later on. HeliProz...

RE: .........

I'm using a 12T pinion with it and getting 3,000 rpm head speed. However, my 3DX450 uses the Align type 150 tooth main gear. I think the Belt uses something like a 138 tooth main gear so that will...

RE: .........

Well, the short version is that the one you want is the HK2221-8 V2 (http://www.helidirect.com/scorpion-hk22218-brushless-motor-3595kv-p-6439.hdx). Here's a link to the Scorpion Motor Guide...

RE: .........

Kev, could your altitude fluctuations (and eventual left tilt) have been caused by the swash ball link that came loose????

I have the first bag you linked to from Helidirect and it's a nice bag for local use. It has stiffeners that slide into all four sides and the top and bottom of the main compartment to protect the...

RE: .........

I've had good results with the 3DX450 that I built so you might consider the 3DX kits atCncheli or the similar HDX kits at Helidirect. Cncheli has always had the parts in stock for them plus a lot of...

Joey, don't think you can go wrong for the price (you can spend more than that for just one servo).Keep in mind that those videos were sponsored by xheli.com so they aren't exactly unbiased...

Don't have any direct experience with the EXI brand and I tend to be skeptical of "bargains".However,I have read on other forums that people seem to be satisfied with them so they might be worth a...

RE: .........

I haven't seen the SX swashplate in person but from the photos it looks like you'll need to move it to the opposite side. On many helis the elevator servo is toward the back of the heli rather than...

Yup, that looks good. You're going to like those 4mm feathering shafts! The Belt stock flybars should work just fine. Let us know how you like it.

I have the 4mm upgrade in my 3DX head. The 3mm feathering shaft used to bend slightly with even the mildest blade strikes so the 4mm shaft takes care of the and the other CNC head parts seem to hold...

Joey,

3DX is a brand sold internationally and refers to parts made by Sonix (they also make the Outrage heli parts). Cncheli sells these parts in the US. HDX is really the same as 3DX but is...

I wasn't a fan of the stock plastic head/tail on the Belt V1 and went to the 3DX/HDX upgrades pretty quickly. You've already seen the difference in the tail unit. Some will tell you to stick with the...

Joey,

Here's the bottom line on carbon vs. aluminum tail booms based on my experience. Aluminum bends easily but does not break. Carbon is strong and stiff and will not bend but it's also brittle...
