RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

Try using a little more right rudder in a climb.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

When I had mine all of the trim started to peel off, some was lost in flight. After a while the covering was all peeling at the seems and the color backing was separating from the film. Nice looking...

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

One of my planes required the wires to be crossed. Use a length of heat shrink tubing on one of the wires where they cross to prevent metal to metal contact and it protects the wires from wearing on...

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

The DLE would be perfect. I had a Fuji 43ei on mine and I had to put the rudder servo and battery in the tail to get it to balance as it was extremly nose heavy.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

Down thrust would help alot. I had programmed a mix with mine so it would apply more down elevator with an increase in throttle.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

The covering used has always been my beef. It is the worst I have seen on an ARF. I thought this had been corrected, but I guess not.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

zdsh did you try switching one of your elevator servos with another one on the plane to see if they would match up better?

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

I shaved down the front of the fin to make it fit. Then I covered the area with Ultracote to match.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

I re-enforced mine as well. I didn't trust the stock setup.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

Never had a problem with mine, don't know what to say. Did you try giving it a small blip with the throttle when you turn?

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

Yup -30C here this morning. Just to give you a heads up you'll need tail weight with that engine. I mounted my rudder servo in the tail as well as mounting a 4c cell battery close to the tail to get...

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

NiMH work just fine on 3305's. I don't know why Tower does that. Especially with the 3305's as they are a non-digital and don't use that much power. I have servos that draw 3 times as much current...

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

I use metal gears because of the vibration from using gas engines. As stated above I too like the extra insurance.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

I have 3305's on mine all the way around at 4.8 volts they have 99 oz/in of torque and are metal geared. Very good servo for the price IMHO for this type of flying. Basically the same as the Hitec...

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

It climbs when you giver gas. So I added down trim to get it to fly level, but then it drops down fast when you cut the throttle. Enter P-mix..got the throttle mixed with the elevator to increase the...

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

It occurs when you increase power. Needs more down thrust on my setup, but to change mine I would need to drill new holes in the firewall to keep my spinner centered.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

I have the Fuji 43 in my Decathlon. It flys great. To get it to balance I mounted my rudder servo in the tail and had to make a battery tray to mount the battery in the tail about 3/4 the way back. I...
