Check the Rear Drive Cup on the Transmission. It is Notorious for comming loose.

In Fact, (with a new Vehicle) Check ALL of your screws and fasteners for Tightness and LocTite...

I didnt check the Traxxas Website, but 50 k Rpm sounds way too high to me....
A lot of folks use the OS.18 engine in Tmaxx n Revos as an upgrade and they dont spin that fast either.

If you decide to go with a roto start(or buy another pullstart), be aware that Redcat shipped the VX.18 with TWO different sized back plates that had DIFFERENT screw patterns.

Sounds like your Transmission is Seized for some reason.
Put the truck on a block of wood (so that the tires are not touching the ground) and Manually turn the Spur gear.

You can never go wrong with a Higher torque servo (especially for Steering), but the Futaba 3003 is a nice improvement over the Stock Redcat servo. Its what I have in MY Volcano SV and it works...

I think they will fit (lengthwise anyway). BUT,,,,
If you are bending Dogbones now (from Compression) the Longer ones will be more Prone to the same problem.

Yes. I have had that Exact same problem.
Sometimes you have to adjust the Screws that hold on the brakes. Screw them in as far as you can and still have the breaks work without binding.

Just be aware that it may Pop out (SPROINNNG!) when you disassemble it. But it s not too hard to put back together if you have strong fingers.

Thats odd. Ive got a Volcano SV. I put on T-Maxx shocks (slightly more travel than Stock) and my dogbones have enough endplay throughout range of suspension.
