Great color shot of the original Tiger Panzer! Thank-you for that.

RE: Eric Bell and the Belaire

Great observation, RFJ! I guess I have an affinity for this design, as I just cut the foam stab cores for Rich Brand's Tiger Panzer. The wings are next, as soon as I can locate some 2" thick foam...

How about some plans (unfortunately, not full size) and an article on the Bar-Fli? Let me know if you have any trouble accessing these docs.

Not sure where I found this plan or what the copyright might be...but it may be useful to you as a reminder of how beautiful this design is.

RE: Do you know anything about this plane

Your ship appears to be a variant of the Bill Evans design called the Polestar (specifically the Polestar EPO). I built the standard design and then lengthened the wing to 72". It is virtually a...

RE: Electric Equivalent of .049?

Hey jsflagstad, did you ever fly the model? Was it a good flyer? I built one of these ships many moons ago and sold it before I ever flew it! You should pull it out of the closet, dust it off, and...

RE: Mystery Plane "Sweepy 40"

You made quite a score with this one. I kept the article all this time because the design is not only a great looker, but likely an even better flyer. There are some caveats at the end of the...

RE: Mystery Plane "Sweepy 40"

Yep...That plane is called "Sweepee" and was featured in the August, 1989 issue of Model Aviation. So your guess of 20 years is right on.

The model is an original design by Sanjay Dhall. I...

RE: Electric Equivalent of .049?

Wow! Great information. Thank-you so much for the advice.

Yes...that's the design. I built the 1/2A SST way back when and powered it with a throttable Cox .049 engine. Now that I am reliving...

Electric Equivalent of .049?

This question has likely been answered, but I am new to e-power.

When considering a glow conversion to e-power, what is the electric motor equivalent to the Cox 0.49 size engine? How are glow...
