The reason is that higher capacity mAh batteries have a higher capacity to provide current per unit time. Since your bigger battery is able to provide more current to the motor, it runs faster....

Hi Anyone got MOABs on your truck.
Did you change gearing for that. If so, what pinion/spur combination.?
Stock tyre's perimeter is 32 Cm.
Moab is 40 cm.

19 X 32 / 40 = 15. So, a 15T...

I use a syringe to apply grease.
Since there will be dirt mixed with grease after a run or so, I first give it a squirt of WD40 to loosen the grease and then reapply grease using...

Forget all settings.
Just start lubricating the diff shafts and rear axle on both ends of dog bones.
You are running them dry.

For me, it cracked... but didn't break completely.
Your options: :-) create a new wall.
Find out / create a similar sized piece. Rough up side walls with a 1.5mm drill or some thing and then use...

Do you use paper technique to adjust the gap between pinion and spur.

Well, 31 T pinion ... will it fit. I doubt.
How did you arrive at a figure of 31.
Per calculations, 19T is the optimum setup.
Go up or down couple of teeth for speed or torque.

Consider 1) increasing wheel base of your setup, 2) have a stiffer differential.

Practice smoother inputs, atleast when you are negotiating turns.

If you are worried about number of cells, it'll take 7 C Sub C in stick or side by side configuration.
No hump packs with default battery retainer.

Torque is for acceleration ... 23T has more torque than 15T
So prabably a higher acceleration was confused with 'FAST' :-;

Stock ESC can work with LiPO batteries with an exception. By default, there is no cut off functionality available. You 'll need a LiPO cut off module like this...

Stability was never an issue... but I feel its better in a way that from turns, egress is faster. However, for ingress, using drag brakes just before turning gives better steering response.

And my ESC would come loose very often .. infact every other impact would result in ESC hanging out or heat sink popping off.
Here is what I did ...
Base of ESC is now velcro instead of double...

Has any one tried to increase the wheel base as its a feature claimed by HPI.
Well I did .. and its totally changed the way the truck handles.
Coming out of turns, the truck is much faster and...
