Calvi, If the MDS gives you trouble, try...

Calvi,

If the MDS gives you trouble, try fuel with little or no nitro. Mine ran like clockwork ( 10x8 prop and Macs Quietpipe), but that was on 16% synthetic oil, no nitro. Count on resetting all...

RE: RCM Cover Plane ID June 1968

- There is the ARF culture, less builders, more fliers. There is also this much you can say about an ARF, the colours and size of the box, how it went together, how it flew. Magazines like RCM...

RE: Prettner Magic 60 Roega Kit NIB

327 EUR is good money, but not really exaggerated. Those Röga kits cost a ton of money in the day. My Dalotel Uno kit says 18000 belgian francs ... 450 € (!) which was way out of reach of most...

RE: Scale pattern plane?

MK Chipmunk, MK Zlin, MK Laser, MK Akromaster ... those were designed for 120 size 4-strokes in their day and should fly well with a modern 91 four stroke

You can have a look at them here :...

RE: Help Identifing this kit?

If you compare the pictures on this other build thread with this one :

Look at the 2 slots in the firewal, look at the 4 round holes in the deck at the front. That looks like the same kit. And...

RE: Piped 4 strokes

I use tuned pipes on my 4-strokes, but only to lower the noise. I use a .60 pipe on a .91 or .120 4-stroke, and you can hardly hear them in flight. No real performance gain to be expected ( except it...

RE: 1980 TOC Laser 200 by Ulery

For skinning, gorilla glue would be good. To glue teh foam parts together, it is not suitable, as you have to cut through foam, then through glue, and that makes a mess, with a wire that stays too...

RE: I think it's a......

It's got some Mick Reeves Gangster appeal. Maybe some dimensions would help?

RE: biplane ever win a pattern event?

Didn't Phil Craft enter with a biplane once? Maybe it didn't win, but it was sure something special to come with a 2-winger when he participated with his. Named the "Stagger", I seem to remember.

RE: Identifie please

Hi David,

The "OK" is indeed the start of the Czech id numbers, and the flag is Czech too. With a lot of fantasy, and from a very far distance, one could indeed see a slight resemblence with a...

RE: Another

Hello everybody,

I built a Super Duper Joy Stick from the A4 sized plan in RC Modeler Magazine more than 10 years ago, powered with a Super Tigre 61. It was great fun, and the Tigre was way too...

RE: Tequila bipe by Chuck Cunningham

hi everybody,

Good to see somebody from Europe who has built the Tequila. It just looked such a great plane to me. Indeed, tons of wood in it, but it is suprisingly light eventually. I have the...

RE: 60 to 90 Size F3A Pattern Kit or ARF

Hai Volker,

Yes, they are much sleeker than the most recent F3A airplanes. It all depends what they are for : just plain excellent flying, or competition F3A.

RE: 60 to 90 Size F3A Pattern Kit or ARF

This place is also worth looking at for F3A models in all kinds of sizes at reasonable prices, especially now that the GBP has come to a lower value. I had an Aerostar 62 from them, and it flew like...

Hi Steve,

I am happy to see that there are more people interested in this plane. I have the plans too, and was looking at modifying the construction to make it lighter. The construction "as is"...

RE: Don Dewey Wayfarer

Hi Daniel,

As far as I know, the plans are still avaible from RCM magazine in the USA. I still have a partially assembled kit here, but the USA is a long way to ship!

Thanks, i found it now. Too bad the shipping kills the deal if it has to come all the way to Europe.

Good luck with the auction, Will!

RE: New USAF Drone/Lockheed Skunk Works

Hi Andy,

Yes, I think I have the same book here - I'll check. When talking about the washout, it was for yaw stability, not yaw control. There were drag controls for yaw control indeed, some...
