RE: Traxxas VXL brushless in a boat?

I think you would need a water proof and water COOLED ESC so the Velineon ESC in a boat might not be a good idea, but using the Velineon motor with a marine Castle Creations ESC is a good idea.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Thanks Profitofdoom, Since LIPO's are lighter in weight I may also add some stick-on wheel weights to inside of hull to add weight. I may also tuck rudder in slightly so to turn better.

What...

RE: LiPo Break-in Procedure

I may purchase the Hyperion DUO soon.

I have charged these batteries about 5 times each now and no problems yet. The Venoms .75 amp charging rate is considered a slow charge and not a trickle...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

This type cooling system seems safer...no silicone. Silicone acts as an insulator not allowing heat to escape when water flow is lost.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Lets talk about cooling for a minute.

The silicone engine water jacket will act as a insulating material (holding in heat) if water flow is lost resulting in a burned up motor. Wouldn't the...

RE: SUPER V 27 with 5s LIPO

I think the stock Brushless Super Vee if set up correctly using 5s LIPO and good prop would be far from slow, but can it's 18 volt ESC handle 5s lipo?

RE: Where can I find a cheap Velineon system?

Your father is correct. My 8 NIMH cell VXL Rustler has WAY more power than I need, but it is still funner than brushed motor. The Velineon has a training mode that will slow it down some.

RE: What Car Will Brushless Velineon Fit Into

The ESC of the Velineon kit is a little larger than most I think, so there might be a problem fitting in most vehicals.

Will it fit a TC5?

RE: Where can I find a cheap Velineon system?

Less maintenance and WAY MORE POWER depending on which battery you use. Towerhobbies sells the Velineon kit for $170.00.
