RE: avalanche / landslide tires to volcano sv?

There are some 2.8" wheels and tires you can get. The Jato and Stampede run 12mm hex hubs and 2.8" wheels. My brother has the Moabs and they are about the same overall diameter as the stock wheels...

RE: Not happy with my Redcat dealer

I did as well and found this thread after I placed my order. [:o] I was worried the whole time as I waited for my Volcano to come. Fortunately, it came on time and in perfect condition. At least I...

RE: Kuppler SV Battery cover screw.

I did the same thing. I also hot glued the screw inside the battery box so it won't slip around when I have the cover off. My glow wretch also fits the nut perfectly.:D

RE: getting a little closer

My brother's SV Pro was doing that and I thought it was running rich as well. I leaned it out and the problem got worse so I tried richening it, that solved the problem.

RE: Strange clutch problem

I think I will try getting a bigger e-clip and trimming the ends of the shoes so they fit together better. If it fails at least I didn't spend alot of money. Here are some pics, this is exactly what...

RE: Strange clutch problem

I just ran it without the e-clip... The shoes slid forward into the front of the clutch bell after one tank. The truck had a lot of resistance when I tried to roll it with the engine not running....

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

I think there is something that adjusts when it shifts.

RE: Glitching Radio Crash

I just figured I would tell you what might have caused your interference. Do you know that the 27MHz band is also used for CB radios? When it comes to your little .1 watt transmitter Vs. a 4 watt CB...

RE: Strange clutch problem

Yes, I guess you could say it gets hung up on the e-clip. I removed the clip and will try running without it. I just thought that the clip was used for holding the shoes back, that seems to be its...

RE: Strange clutch problem

I just finished putting it back together but I will try to express it with some one else's picture. In this pic you see the shoes with an e-clip above them. The shoes on mine slide forward over the...

Thanks, I guess I will try it without the e-clip and see what happens.

RE: Volcano transmission gear confusion

People have said that 2nd gear is so high that the engine doesn't have the power to get to the theoretical top speed of that gear.

RE: Strange clutch problem

How do I check that? The spring seems to have a fair bit tension on it and when I push the shoes back into place it works just fine. Then, over the course of a few tanks, the shoes slip forward and...

RE: Transmission gear confusion

I think the direct drive setup is 30$ He got his SV Pro for about the same price as a new SV. It came with a Rotostart, backplate, some new glow plugs, dog bones, some other extra parts and a starter...

RE: Transmission gear confusion

He wasn't jumping it. We bought his Volcano used and that gear looked worn when we got it. I have also told him to let off the gas if he jumps so nothing will strip.

RE: Transmission gear confusion

No, thats not the problem. The spur gear is fine and the clutch bell is steel on this Volcano. The problem is that in the manual the gear I need is listed as one part number but when I look up that...

Volcano transmission gear confusion

Me and my little brother were bashing our Volcanoes today, (I have an SV, he has an SV Pro) after about 4 tanks a gear in his transmission striped. Its not the spur gear, its this small 17t plastic...

RE: shipping package

I would use a box, the sharp edges would probably cut the envelope. Sending it in an envelope also seems rather ghetto to me for some reason.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

RE: nitro fuel concern

I know I'm late but that price seems high. I bought a gallon of Byron's Race 20%nitro 12%lube a few weeks ago and it was 23$ before tax.

RE: Redcat Racing Volcano Thread

I have a question about the steering hub. My little brother got a used SV PRO and one of the steering hubs is different from the other. I know it was probably replaced but why does it only have one...
