RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I used a 12 inch tail boom from a blade CP PRO and works good. Used tail motor wires from a honney Bee FP and they were long enough.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Any Lipo in the 900mah to 1650mah range should be fine. The main thing is you can get the correct CG of the heli with the battery position. The higher the mah battery the longer the flight times(to a...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Most of us have gone to Hitec HS-55 servos. I have two f40's and both of them have HS-55 instaled. Have not had any servo issues for the last 3 months, the stockers only made it through 2 or 3...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

If you do decide to order a super boom get the longer 12 inch version that will improve tail athority. You will need to get longer tail motor wires to make it work.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Most of us have gone to HS-55's for servos, as the stockers are week and don't last long. Sounds like your sliding left across the floor like I did. You are in what is called ground affect. Soon you...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I don't think humidity is the problem, I live in lake havasu AZ that is also dry. I use a big old 1650mah 7.4v lipo with a Century motor that will go sky high at half throtle. Have super skids so...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I also agree, of all the motors I have tested the Century gives long life(up to 60 flights on 1650mah 7.4v lipo so far).In addition the Century motor does not over power the helli giving smoother...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I swear that the century motor is the best motor for this helli I have found. Some other motors have their advantages, but too much torc in a low ohm motor can make the throtle touchey and hard to...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

I use a short piece of .040 piano wire for the pin. The OEM pins are soft and bend very easly the piano wire will not. Use a smaller dia. wire say .020 to align the ring and rotor core holes. Make...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

If you put the old rx in and the problem went away, I would say the crystal and tx are ok. When I was searching for a new rx there were two diffrent part numbers, HM-4-1-Z-24 and HM-004-Z-28. I got...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

My personal opinion on the tail spining after prolonged flight times. We now are getting, after many hours and parts and flight time. Working our motors RX , ESC longer than we ever were before. It...

I don't think I droped the tx, but in a panic to stop the thing that is possible. After work I will open up the tx and check the throtle pot for voltage range. Thanks for your help.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

use a small piece of tubing that comes with the skid set or use one of gromets from the canopy to hold the tail rotor on. ushobbies has the fuse mods but they are listed under the CX2 parts.

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Make sure your throtle (left stick) and trim are at zero before pluging in battery.
