But some spend way more on a mod motor and pipe... so its all about flavor.. :)

Oh you mean cheap as in using small motors escs and 10C packs...
Because the good low priced 40-50C packs you can get now days with the big 5692 low priced motors are going to...

But it depends if your running 6s, 8s, or 10s
3 sets of 6s packs (6 batteries) and one big charger, should keep you going for a long time in the field...

not that I'm a brushless fan over GAS
but with this motor for only 75bucks and a esc for under $70 and run it on two $65 6s packs for 6s2p, it can be done for much less...

depends on the kv and how many cells you run..
If I ran a Leopard 5692 530kv on 10s it could get maybe 20min? [:-]

saving 120bucks for a pipe that puts down some HP is money well saved for tires that will be shredded!!;)

300bucks is way to much for a pipe on this truck IMO [:-]
