RE: Shape of TE of elevator

Hi Dean,
Just curiousity really- I vaguely remember seeing some different shaped TE's and thought it might be cool to play with on my 300. If you've done some experimenting by all means...

Shape of TE of elevator

Hi Guys,
Awhile back I believe someone posted some pics of different shapes on the TE of elevators. Does anyone know where that post is or if you have some pics could you post them...

RE: New-------E-Flite Sobre 3d Profile-F3P~~~~~~~

I like to use the prop saver (without moving the motor shaft) and just space the motor out from the mount with small 1/8" or so plastic washers, (enough so the prop doesn't hit the fuse) You can...

Pattern plane covering schemes

Hi Don!
I noticed on some of your pattern planes and some of Dave Lockharts planes you make the outboard 1/3rd or so of the wing a solid color. What is the purpose of that? Here's a...

RE: 40% 260 on a Diet

Bob (Sensei)
It's a waste of time- I'm sure you've realized that by now. The point is you accomplished your goal and made a state of the art plane. That's about it! Good job...

RE: 40% 260 on a Diet

Looks great Bob! I've heard that red covering both in monokote and ultracote is the lightest color. Do you know about how much wieght you saved using all red? (sorry if this has already been brought...

RE: ONE OF A KIND HANGER9 SUKHOI PICS!!!

That's awesome! I remember watching Clint fly awhile back in Wilkesbarre Pa - awesome show. He did an incredible knife edge slide that seemed to go on forever. Great job on the plane.

RE: New-------E-Flite Sobre 3d Profile-F3P~~~~~~~

That should work well - especially with the 1080 kv 370. If you had the higher kv 370 you would probably have to use a 9x5 GWS dd.

RE: New-------E-Flite Sobre 3d Profile-F3P~~~~~~~

Not at all. The GWS DD props are a thinner chord blade and for me work twice as well as APC or any 'Slowflyer' prop. They spool up and down faster and provide alot more thrust. If APC slowflyer style...

RE: New-------E-Flite Sobre 3d Profile-F3P~~~~~~~

Try what you have on hand now and then go from there. I was using an 860 2cell and a 10x6 GWS DD which worked great. Using that specific prop is what gave it nice power. What battery do you have on...

RE: New-------E-Flite Sobre 3d Profile-F3P~~~~~~~

I'm using the Park 300 with a GWS 9x5 DD prop and a TP 480 3cell and it's awesome (I'm a little biased though :)) Wieght without the battery is 6.2 oz so flying wieght is around 7.5 oz. Right now I...

That combo will work well! I hope you enjoy it. I've been flying one of the prototype ones and it's really awesome.

RE: A little input about a Radiocraft Extra 35%

I didn't see your engine question. With a BME 102 or equalivent wieght engine you can expect a 24.5 lb plane as long as you keep it simple. A DA 100 will be 25.5 lbs. (no powerbox's etc...) The plane...

RE: A little input about a Radiocraft Extra 35%

The only mod neccessary is to bevel the hinge wood more on both the flying surfaces and fixed portions, if you plan to fly 3-d with it. Check out GSAL.org for some pics of installations.

RE: Carden 150cc extra 300 prototype !

Lucky for me it survived his midair! I talked to Wayne the night before and told him mine was delaminating. He said "well let me see what I can do". (I didn't expect him to hit someone so he could...

RE: Carden 150cc extra 300 prototype !

Wayne and Dave,
Albert is trying to do a build thread on the 300. You guys shouldn't 'hijack' the thread with non-pertinent information to building the Carden 300.
thanks...
