I did not realize you had another one coming Goose. Glad to hear you did. I guess anything mass produced is going to be different from plane to plane. I am a little surprised at your weight. I know...

RE: Goose's 50cc Aeroworks Edge 540 (orange) assembly thread...

Put 5 more flights on it Sunday. Still have not taken the time to set the mixes up. But I like it more every time I fly it. I set the radio up differently on this one than any other plane I have. I...

RE: Goose's 50cc Aeroworks Edge 540 (orange) assembly thread...

All is well but the weather. Days off without strong winds and 100 plus degree days are hard to hit. I only have 7 flights on the Extra. I like it better every time I fly it. But when it's this hot...

RE: Goose's 50cc Aeroworks Edge 540 (orange) assembly thread...

Sorry to hear it Goose. I know how disheartening it can be to loose a plane. I hope the DA and most of the servos survived at least. Thank you for being so honest in your crash report. Too many times...

For future reference. If you drill a small hole at the end of the crack in ALUM. It will stop it from running. You will have to cover the hole, but you were going to JB Weld anyway. As it is, the...

RE: Goose's 50cc Aeroworks Edge 540 (orange) assembly thread...

Going to a Fly In on Saturday Goose. Wind is supposed to be 10-20 across the runway. If conditions get half way decent, I'll get a video of it's 3rd flight.
IBEC is what? Some kind of kill switch?...

RE: Goose's 50cc Aeroworks Edge 540 (orange) assembly thread...

Goose, with your eye for detail, a warbird would be right up your alley. Aeroworks sells their P-51 in ARC version. Would be killer with Flight metal on it.

Tumalik, still just have the two...

I hope to do that. I just don't own a video camera. I will get a iPhone video next time out. May not be perfect but would be better than nothing.

I think he is a little small. If you see a full scale one, his shoulders are 6" or so from the sides of the canopy.

RE: Goose's 50cc Aeroworks Edge 540 (orange) assembly thread...

You may be 100% right Brian. I was trying to follow what the DA book said that came with the engine. It suggested a 23X8 for break in. I will be carefull not to over speed it. After the first few...

Goose, the Still Ultra HP oil you mentioned is one of three the DA-60 book recommends. It must be good stuff. I have not bought any yet as I was told to run 2 gallons of fuel with Lawn boy oil in it...
