RE: The Official Traxxas Slash short-course race truck

Same price? People are saying a likely $180 for the Traxxas and the Thundertech is $385 on their website. That's twice as much. Can't even call that teh same ball-park!

RE: buggy with gear diffs

Quick edit. I just went to quote you to show he hadn't mentioned anything about racing and suddenly the quoted text mentions nothing of it :o

RE: buggy with gear diffs

What are you going to be doing with your buggy? Do you really want something made out of brittle and expensive carbon fibre if you are only buying it to have a bit of fun? Or do you have race...

RE: buggy with gear diffs

Does the original poster really think you need gear diff to handle brushless power? I just assumed it was more a preferance/lazyness thing why he asked for it. Maybe not though...

Although i...

RE: Newbie

Might be good to read the build threads on here and this review before cracking on with your Durga.

RE: buggy with gear diffs

TT-01 has gear diffs though doesn't it? At least my housemates Coppermix and RX7 drift spec Tamiyas came with gear diffs when I "helped" them build them.

But ball diffs are fine with brushless...

RE: GETTIN EMAXX!

Cheers muchly. I don't know why it wasn't showing up with either Google or Yahoo searches from here earlier. I was just getting http://hobbycity.co.nz and http://www.hobby-city.ca/ for results...

RE: GETTIN EMAXX!

Who cares if it's still cheaper than you can find elsewhere?

Got a link for this Hobby City? I can only find companies by that name in NZ and USA...

RE: Official E-Maxx Thread

If you re-read the thread it looks like the guy was asking about motor configuration, then you replied by talking about how the batteries are wired. Ensue confusion!

RE: E-Zilla / E-Savage compatibility

Yeah it's a weird one as they merged, even though both companies were owned by the same people, in 2005 yet you still get products under both names. Then to swap what products are under which moniker...

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

I believe you can attach pictures on here but it's always worth having a photobucket/imageshack/flickr (etc etc) type account anyway.

Once you do just upload them into your account and there's...

RE: E-Zilla / E-Savage compatibility

Yeah from what I read HPI just took the design and changed the name when they absorbed Hot Bodies but wanted to check before putting a bid on one ;)

E-Zilla / E-Savage compatibility

Sorry asking for something that's surely been mentioned hundreds of times but I just wanted to check;

Is the E-Zilla EXACTLY the same as the E-Savage as far as spares and hop ups go?

RE: Tamiya DB-01 "Val Dollar"

Thanks for answering. That's what I assumed as they are exactly the same price but thought there was no harm in asking to make sure :)

Tamiya DB-01 "Val Dollar"

Is it just a new body on the Durga?

"Val Dollar" may be a bad translation as it's from babelfish from this RC Champ page.

Is it durable enough for a first timer? I've heard some say it's aimed more at racers and thus uses lighter, weaker parts, while others say it's the typical indestructible Tamiya plastic and only the...

RE: worst rc car youve owned

That makes absolutley no sense what you just said. You say that you would always buy a car that is RTR, because you like to build things. I think you meant to say kit.

Surely it makes sense to do the same amount of research whether you are buying a kit or RTR [sm=confused.gif]

I know if i had the choice i would always buy a car RTR as I like to build things....

RE: E-Maxx or E-Savage for bashing

E-Savage seems to have been dropping in price slightly over the last few weeks and I would say the difference is now more like £50-60 and you get a couple of (just about) usable batteries. Still...
