The APS pumps supply the fuel with a constant pressure. (It is quite low.) Any excess is fed back to the tank. As the engine RPM increases and more fuel is needed, less goes back to the tank but the...

There is no need for pulse hose when using an external pump.
There are two sides to the carb. The diaphragm side and the pump side. The pulse line is going to the pump side and has nothing to do...

Hi Macka
Tank height "shouldn't" make any difference.
You started out with a brand new engine that would of got easier to start and better running after it had some time on it maybe??

Yep not surprised. I have seen 10 year old Moki's that have plenty of flights and no issue with grease in the tube and some that are 3 month old and the tube is blocked after 20 flights.

OK I see where you are coming from but unless you are going to the trouble of maintaining the tube and making sure it is not blocked, then it's not really insurance. If you are going to that trouble...

I'm curious Richard why?
The pump instructions say to disconnect it and we have always done that with no issue. The whole point of the electric pump is to provide the carb with fuel at a constant...

Hi Tom
The power (i.e.heat) the Spark has to dissipate equals the current draw times the voltage drop. So for example if you have a fresh 2 cell lithium ion battery at 8.4V and a 5.9V Spark switch,...

I have definitely seen the same thing with one customer melting the plastic cover on the Spark switch. I recommend 2 separate Spark switches and use one battery for the pump and ignition.
The rating...

Two points I would make. You need to consider total current draw of the ignition and pump together. It may be too much for the IBEC. Secondly, in my opinion, 5.9V is too high for the old ignition. I...

Does anyone know the correct timing for an old 150? There is a drill mark next to one of the magnets visible through the ignition sensor port. Does this mark need to be in the center...

RE: BLS172HV replacement

Thanks but no thanks.

It is a little un-cool to be using the Futaba support forum to sell your brown market products.

RE: BLS172HV replacement

Thanks but no thanks.

The BLS172HV is being replaced by the BLS172SV. Basically the same servo but it will has Sbus2 support.

Servo spares part numbers.

Can you tell me if it is possible to buy the O rings used on the standard size servo cases? (eg 9252)

Also, is it possible to purchase replacement servo leads for the current crop of new servos....

RE: resistor in plug cap

You are confusing two separate issues. The screening doesn't negate the need for a resistor. In some form or another, every ignition system we use in RC has some resistance in the HT circuit.

Ralph if you have been using RCJ7Y spark plugs all these years then you have been using a resistor in the circuit. It is built into the plug. You can measure it!! Take one off the shelf and measure...

RE: resistor in plug cap

Hi Ralph

The RCJ7Y has the resistor built in so there is no need for a resistor in the cap or carbon HT lead.

Take one of your Zenoah engines and run it with a non-resistor spark plug. You...

RE: resistor in plug cap

Do yourself a favour and buy the right part from the OEM. It is not a typical resistor that is used in modern electronic equipment. (Interestingly enough it is a "typical" resistor from 30 to 40...
