RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Hey 46U, Actually I think that is the inline BEC (Battery eliminating circuit if I remember right). It allows you to run your servos and motor with one battery at different voltages.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Most likely the feathering shaft is bent. Usually the first thing to go.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Yeah, but I also think it has something to do with being bound to tight to the frame and transferring vibration to the gyro.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Hey PhillyD, I am using a Telebee on my Belt and have mounted on edge with the label facing the tail. Mine works great like that. Don't know for sure but have read somewhere to use only the...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

With most decent ESC upgrades you can get a programming card that will let you program various parameters of the way the ESC performs. Soft start allows for a very soft spool up which helps to keep...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Your DX6i is your Tx (transmitter) your receiver is Rx. If it is a Spektrum Receiver, something like 6100, 6200, or 7000 then that is where you plug in the bind plug on the battery slot. Everything...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Yeah Smokey, no worries. I am a newb too so I know exactly what you are going through. Disney and Billmay have helped me out in the past as well as others. I hope I can return the favor one day.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

No, I was wrong. I said ESC when I meant RX like Disney said. On mine (Spektrum 6100) the bind plug goes to the battery slot. Not sure what RX you are using but if it has a slot labeled bind then...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Not sure what Disney1 is referrring to but the bind plug goes in the battery socket of your ESC.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Sorry guys. Got lost on the board and didn't realize there were about 8-10 post prior to mine resolving PhillyD's problem.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Exactly as Billmay says. Your rotor pitch is doing exactly what you pitch curve is telling it to......... just backwards. Sounds like you just need to reverse the servos and make your pitch linear.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Bind plug goes in the battery slot. Gyro goes in the rudder slot and the signal wire goes to gear. Not sure about BEC, mine is inline with the ESC so it plugs into the throttle slot. Do you have a...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

That sounds like a problem with the dampers to me. You might want to check out your spindle shaft assembly.

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

If you are going to do this I would suggest using a good, heavy duty C clamp. I tried something similar to this with a C clamp of lesser quality than the one used by Disney1. It would start to flex...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

The timing setting has more to do with the performance of the motor. Might want to crank that up unless you just want longer flight times. There is also a startup mode usually with normal, soft,...

Yeah, Disney1, RC Fever. I haven't flown it much. Still fine tuning setup. Initial imrpessions: it is a nice, much smoother upgrade to stock. Seems like it could be made a little better. Main...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Thanks Evdreamer and Disney1. As for the ESC I don't know yet. Haven't flown it like this yet. Hoping to get some fan action from the main gear. Also gives me perfect CG. I'm going to try to get...

RE: ........."BELT-CP THREAD"........

Go to Finless Bob's Tech Room at Helifreak. Most are for a TRex 450 but most of them apply to a Belt. Good luck.
