although 300 is a bit high remember that running on tall grass is much harded on your mill than just running around on the street... a lot more stress from the grass to move theses heavy trucks.....

first off im gonna tell you how to fix the break problem.. if the motor is stullin out when you pull the break screw in the idel screw in and then test your breaks to see if the throttle arm moves.....

look in my gallery... a few years back i bought on for my son, the first motor i put in was a traxxas 2.5 then the os cvr.. i dont have the pics of the os 18 tz or the traxxas 3.3 that i put in it...

look at my gallery there is a few pics... ive put an os 18 cvr, os 18 tz a traxxas 2.5 and 3.3 on my sons old redcat... just remember to get the multi-shaft version of those engines...

the spektrum system has a built in failsafe.. but that really doesnt matter to much when the batt dies on you.. lol i would suggest a very strong throttle return spring. [8D][8D]

It seems to me that your a rookie and have no clue so I'll take that comment with a grain of salt. As for the shaft its an O.S. that is not even a year old.

I in all my years have never seen such a thing. The starter shaft broke in three diff. places. This came out of the 3.3 in the shockwave. Thank the lord I had a spare 2.5 to throw in it till I get it...

Those things can be a real pain, if you can't find them at redcat, HPI pins off the RS4 will work just the same. A little tip for you is to put some silicone glue on the pin before you insert it....

hey guys just to clear tis up i didn't use the HPI tranny case. I just used the slipper clutch and shaft out of a MT2 and mounted it in the stock case. sorry for the confusion;)
