you could switch the esc and servo positions in the RX so esc in ch1 and servo in ch2 the esc should still drive the bec and then you'll be able to see if it's the rx or servo

It sounds like the servo is stripped if it's not the servo saver, can you hear the servo motor free spinning before it catches? If not now it may worsen down the road, i'm not sure what the storms...

agreeing with rob here, you could've over tightened it and are causing the gears to bind, i actually cracked a gear in my savage by doing this, and those diff's are the same layout just bigger.

be careful with the aluminum, you want some give, maybe look into some blitz ese parts if you want something stiffer, because the plastics on the storm are pretty forgiving...

I would stick with Proline rubber, and the 30 series units if you want though you'll need the 30 specific rims, and i forget which has the corrects offsets for the storm, and you'd need different...

I would go with the storm over a rusty any day the storm's running castle based esc and motors. i've had no durability issues with it other than a broken shock, but that was a direct hit to the shock...
