That's great.

I wonder how they do that though?
Do they have the brushless esc built into the pump, and use the output voltage for the normal brushed pump as a control signal for the brushless...

That would also require an upgrade to a brushless capable ECU.

And an ECU + pump change will probably require you send the turbine in to get the whole thing calibrated.

If it means anything, Jetcat is not the only manufacturer that sells turbines without FOD screen.
Jets Munt has them separate.
As does Evojet.
Just a few examples.

So it is not a Jetcat thing.

I must admit I was surprised too. But then again, a fod screen robs power, some people fly without just for the extra oompf.

Yeah, it may be a pain, but it's cheaper / faster to clean the FOD screen than it is to have the turbine serviced.

If your engine ingests a decent sized fly, you are going to have the compressor...
