I honestly think it will be quite a bit faster on a 10x6 than on an 11x8... because the engine will be running where it makes power... and I seriously doubt you'd get ANY .46 to turn an 11x8 at 12K

Well, I don't have a Patriot, but I think you should at least go down to a 10" prop... for starters... try something like a 10x6 or 10x7.

Don't worry about blowing your engine, it won't... not...

Sure inches mean speed... but I think what they mean is that you are propping your engine rather heavily with an 11x8...
And if it is over propped it won't rev like it should, and if it doesn't rev...

Wooden props can take way more rpm than plastic props like APC's, even if they're glass filled...

But plastic spinners... that's a no no... For now you may be OK, because it is on a sport...

I like this picture...it shows a clean setup, and a good finish...

However, I would recommend the use of a fuel tank stopper...
