I had the same problem on my BOL and it even burned out my 3in1. My solution was to solder the motor wires directly in to the 3in1 and get rid of the connectors, I never had any heat...

Just my 2 cents guy's

The gyro question:

Head-Holding and Head-Lock are just two slightly different expressions for the same gyro , there is a difference however between "Rate" and "HH"...

It has more punch and is a bit more controllable in a breeze, I am a 450 CCPM hoverer so I am used to more response, I am going to try your mod also Rusty;)

If your theory/mod is correct the DD should occur in every turn, left or right.
For the moment I only know of a left turn DD so something more is going on, perhaps your mod is one...

If you bend them a bit up do they feel the same as the Esky ones, I"ve tried some BMI ones but they flex a bit more giving more coning in flight, reducing a bit in manuevrability.
