A retract servo only has two positions, full one way and full another. When it gets to those positions, then it locks it and does not pull any more current to keep it there.

No, you cannot use the OEM receiver and crystal from the heli. The when upgrading to 2.4 GHz, then it requires receivers from Spektrum. If the receiver is not a Spektrum receiver, then it will not...

It hasnt affected it at all that I noticed. I think the gyro orientation has less to do with the gyros orientation in relation to the heli itself and more importantly that it is on the correct axis...

I am not sure about first question, but the horizontal stab clamp on my belt is not tight on the tail boom either. I think it is fine the way it is though, the support rods keep it...
