Truckracer, thanks for jumping in. Good looking Rimfire. Mine (see above) was also a joy to fly, but it sounds like I made a good decision using Kraft servos. Too bad about the poor photo quality. I...

Good to hear from you again Iceman.... Don't have 6' of snow in North Carolina, but still enough bad flying weather to be a problem.... mostly high winds.

The Rimfire remains one of my all-time favorite airplanes, along with the Troublemaker, and the Tsunami (which flys much like the Rimfire). Thanks for posting the link to the plans download site.

I've been out of it for some time.... really bummed that the Troublemaker was wiped out on it'd maiden flight. Jumped off the ground... went straight up.... came straight down and buried itself in...

RE: Need Webra 50 muffler

Jim,

Dub Jett had an adapter that fits a Jett muffler to my old Webra Speed .61. He may have a smaller adapter to fit the .55 size muffler to your engine. Doesn't hurt to ask. He answers the...

RE: SPA Legal Airframe Needed

[/quote]
I'm confused. Why could a 2-stroke not be put on the Compensator?

Scott, There is NO SPA requirement for a 4-stroke engine. Only thing I can think of is that the DR in question was...

RE: world models intruder

Nice hi-vis color scheme Crank. I think you're the only person I know who recommends placing the battery forward to give a more forward balance point. All the SPA flyers seem to like a more rear-ward...

RE: world models intruder

Do not loosen the fiberglass tube.... do loosen the set screw (bottom of each half of the stab) with a small Allen wrench (provided with the airplane). This will free up the stab for easy adjusting,...

RE: Troublemaker Resurection

Thanks Jim... I first used this paint scheme with a DB in the 70's, then again with the Tsunami, and again with a Deception. Colors with those were red, white, and Black (red, orange, and black for...

RE: Troublemaker Resurection

Thanks Robert...

Chris, I last used this OS .55AX with a MACS muffler in a Tsunami, which is about the same size and weight as the Troublemaker. It was very fast and agile... I think I was using...

RE: Troublemaker Resurection

David, you ask the most difficult questions..... first the easy one. It's the .55AX I HAD in the Tsunami (which is no longer with me). I'm afraid to weigh the Troublemaker. I'd rather not know how...

RE: Troublemaker Resurection

You're right Crank.... the masking for this paint scheme can be difficult. This one turned out OK, but happy to have it done.

RE: Troublemaker Resurection

Me too! Maybe the weekend following this one upcoming. I'm sure the line you suggest Crank, would look great... but I'm tired of building (and painting). I want to fly! I'm designing some decals to...

I'll look forward to the Rimfire pics. The Troublemaker is getting close. White base all-over. Red trim on the wing, Wing now masked for blue. The fuselage is also masked for blue and when that's...

I have no connection to Tony Bonetti... other than noticing an occasional mention on RCU. Last I saw was a speculative statement that he's still living in the Las Vegas area. Active in RC? I don't...

Thanks David.... was thinking either I was going too slow or not providing enough details.

As far as the final finish goes... I've decided to use the same colors as my first TM (red, white, and...
