Put a straight edge (the edge of a 6" rule works...

Put a straight edge (the edge of a 6" rule works well) on the tail-plane long enough to overhang the elevator.
Adjust the linkage so the top of the elevator is level with the top of the tail-plane....

Question Getting her out of mothballs

Last time I flew my Xcalibur I had several deadsticks due to "Failsafe". The last deadstick nearly ended in tears so lost confidence and so she went into mothballs.
