I just ordered a Skywave from tower and a couple extra 8.4V 1100mAH batteries from e-bay. What hop ups should I get or any other tricks for this bird?

I like your setup... I wouldn't hook the plow directly to a servo cause if you hit something hard enough you might break the servo. As for down pressure, just make the plow out of heavier material...
