RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

It's been a week since you posted, but I just saw it now. I think the kit came with a 17T pinion to use with the stock 540 motor, so I'd probably start out somewhere around there for the Sport Tune....

RE: Official DB-01 Durga Thread

I think the sport tune should be fine, geared appropriately. You're obviously going to see a performance reduction, but your driveline parts should last longer;). I sold my DB-01 to fund the...

RE: Tamiya Fast Attack Vehicle Resource Thread!

I could have had an original good condition FAV for $10 last year[:@]. Club member brought it to the swapmeet at our monthly meeting, and I forgot about it by the time the meeting was over. Now, if...

RE: Return of Lunchbox..

Ran my (daughter's) LB some more, does much better in the lawn than the Grasshopper, to no one's surprise. I did not get around to swapping the 380 motor in yet, need to see if the pinion will work....

RE: Return of Lunchbox..

Yeah what the heck, I'll give it a try when I get a chance. Of course, I have ulterior motives......our club's track is hosting a vintage race next month, and the 'hopper will need the 540 for that...

RE: Return of Lunchbox..

Just thinking here, has anyone put a 380 motor (as in, from a Grasshopper) on an LB to slow it down a bit? I know it will fit with the adapter, and it will probably lose the ability to wheelie. ...

RE: Question about HK

FWIW, I had the same thing happen as MTboy on my first order from them. It was VERY frustrating, took over two months to sort out, but they eventually made it right, and I even got a personal...

RE: The official UNOFFICIAL thread of Tamiya Frog - LB strikes again!!

Wish I could help, but I have the same problem. Already tried the socket trick, same result as you. In my case, it just got worse over time - the first time I tried the socket trick, it helped, but...

RE: losi 1/24 scale sct 4wd lipo batts

I can't find a link for which Losi battery you are referring to, but I think I know where part of the inflated price comes from. If it is configured the same as the 180mah and 300mah 2S batteries...

RE: Anyone with a mini slash run revo a-arms?

I did too. It was fun, but like Dale said, it was too fast and light. I sold it to go back to 1/10 scale. Here's a picture from the ad when I sold it:

RE: Sly as a Tamiya FOX! Legend of Tamiya #51!

Truth be told, I was pretty bummed when I figured out that I didn't have enough front end parts for a runner[&o]. I always wanted a Fox as a kid, but never got one. I rigged up the better looking...

RE: Sly as a Tamiya FOX! Legend of Tamiya #51!

So, is it wrong that I cannibalized the Fox I was given?[X(] A while back, a friend gave me a box full of old stuff, including a complete original wild willy and two foxes, unfortunately there isn't...

RE: 1/10 Off Road Resurgance???

Despite having owned r/c cars all the way back to 1987, the Slash spec class at my local class was what got me into actual racing. Despite what many people think, there is definite merit to running...

RE: OFFICIAL 1/16 VXL Slash thread.

RE: What was the RC you really wanted, but never got?

For me, it was the Grasshopper. My cousin had one, and I was super jealous. I know you're thinking "a grasshopper, really?", but hey when you're a kid, you don't know better.....the upshot was...

RE: Return of Lunchbox..

servo connections have been standardized a long time. At worst, you might have to shave the tab off the side of the futaba servo to get it to fit the receiver. You'll be fine;).

RE: The Official Traxxas Slash short-course race truck

Given the same voltage, a higher 'C' rating, coupled with higher capacity, means the battery CAN put out more power, not that it always will. If you have a car setup that draws 100 amps and a...
