It's been a week since you posted, but I just saw it now. I think the kit came with a 17T pinion to use with the stock 540 motor, so I'd probably start out somewhere around there for the Sport Tune....

Ran my (daughter's) LB some more, does much better in the lawn than the Grasshopper, to no one's surprise. I did not get around to swapping the 380 motor in yet, need to see if the pinion will work....

I can't find a link for which Losi battery you are referring to, but I think I know where part of the inflated price comes from. If it is configured the same as the 180mah and 300mah 2S batteries...

Tried all kinds of springs including the revo springs, and oil up to 60 wt, with the stock tires and suspension arms I could never get rid of the rollover issue on asphalt - only thing that worked...

servo connections have been standardized a long time. At worst, you might have to shave the tab off the side of the futaba servo to get it to fit the receiver. You'll be fine;).
